Would it be worth it to make the upgrade to one of the EVGA 970 FTW+ cards? Or would some other hardware in my computer make a bottleneck for the newer cards? (Specs below). I have an early 2008 Mac Pro running bootcamp with an EVGA GTX 770 SC (2GB) in a PCI 2.0 express slot. Can i run a External PCI 3.0 GPU off a thunderbolt 2.0 on a macbook pro 2015? do you need bootcamp or can you have a gtx 1070 with vanilla mac osx? any good pci to thunderbolt adapters? Thx.The GeForce GTX 1070 is based on the same GP104 GPU used on the GeForce GTX 1080, and as such, the GeForce GTX 1070 supports all of the new features that NVIDIA’s Pascal architecture enables.
